To celebrate the 61st anniversary of Maldivian independence, the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has stated that the MNDF parade organized for Independence Day will be held in Hulhumalé tomorrow.

MNDF said that the parade scheduled for yesterday in Hulhumalé could not be held due to rain.

The parade will now take place tomorrow at 4:30 PM. As the parade progresses, the military band will stop and perform at various locations across Hulhumalé.

During the special Independence Day event held on Sunday, a military march and a National Cadet Corps parade were conducted along the main streets of Malé.

The event featured various performances presented by over 400 students from three schools in Malé, along with cultural performances by well-known Maldivian dance groups and Boduberu troupes.

Military personnel also showcased a special display for Independence Day. The evening's festivities concluded with a fireworks display.
