The government is taking several measures to expand the Maldivian economy and boost investor interest. In this regard, amendments brought to the Special Economic Zones Act form a key part of these efforts.
Under these amendments, opportunities have been opened for investments of no less than USD 500 million. The government has stated that these steps will bring positive changes to the Maldivian economy, directly benefiting its citizens.
