Two people have gone missing after a landing craft travelling from K. Thilafushi sank near K. Gaafaru on Friday morning.

Police said the incident was reported at 8:48 a.m.

There were 10 people on board when the vessel sank. Eight people were rescued safely.

Police said search efforts are ongoing to locate the remaining two people, who are still missing.
