President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that no opportunity will be given to manipulate figures or commit fraud in foreign currency exchange matters.

Meeting journalists following a ceremony held at the President's Office today to ratify several bills, the President stated that every resort in the Maldives has the financial capacity to convert 40 percent even after paying employee salaries in US dollars and covering operational expenses.

The President noted that while some suggest certain parties will doctor accounting records to claim zero revenue, no opportunity will be given to commit fraud.

"There may have been days in the past when people could get away with deception in the Maldives. We will not allow that to happen," the President said.

The President announced that within a month, a system will be established to track all movements from the moment a tourist arrives in the Maldives until their departure.

"From the moment a tourist arrives in the Maldives, where they went, where they stayed, and whether they have departed will be officially visible through the system within a month," the President said.

The President stated that no individual will be treated differently in establishing justice.

He further emphasized that in securing rights, some should not be allowed to amass wealth while others are left marginalized.
