National airline Maldivian has decided to increase the frequency of its flights to Trivandrum and Cochin in India.

Maldivian stated that the increased flight schedule will commence from December 13 of this year.

The airline currently operates flights to Trivandrum and Cochin five days a week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Beginning December 13, flights will also operate on Sundays.

India remains a frequent destination for many Maldivians, particularly for medical treatment and various other purposes, resulting in continuous growth in travel demand.

Maldivian has opened ticket bookings for the additional flights. The national flag carrier currently operates scheduled flights to seven destinations across four countries: two cities in India, Dhaka in Bangladesh, three cities in China, and Melbourne in Australia.

The airline is actively working to further expand its international operations.
