The previous government tasked Sea Life with developing 3,000 housing units in Hulhumale’ during 2014. Many had paid large sums of money to confirm a housing unit. However, failure to begin construction of the project even after a year lead to many requesting refunds.

A victims group formed to support the victims of the case revealed to One Online that since Interpol issues their Red Notice last month, their teams had been putting up photos and posters of Ahmed Moosa in the hopes of him being found. As such, they revealed that posters will soon be put up in the US and United Kingdom as well.

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) gave a land to Sea Life near Treetop Hospital in Hulhumale’ to build a 3,000 unit housing complex. The complex have not been developed and over 200 people have filed to gain their money back.

While many similar cases against Sea Life are at the courts and being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), the Criminal Court has previously ordered the arrest of Ahmed Moosa.
