Hisaan Hassan has been dismissed from his position as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

Hisaan confirmed to One today that he has been formally notified of his dismissal from the post, though he did not provide further details. An official government statement regarding the decision has not yet been received.

Hisaan is a long-serving official who previously worked prominently at the National Disaster Management Center (NDMC), which was established following the tsunami disaster. He was subsequently appointed as the CEO of the NDMA—an institution operating under the Ministry of Defence—under a statutory framework established by former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
